How to Harvest Void Flowers in Sandustry

This guide follows the actual production order and separates confirmed material behavior from current player experiments. Manual destruction is the dependable commissioning path. Digger Drone harvesting appears in community builds, but it is not presented here as a universal or maintenance-free machine.

Stage 1: unlock and isolate the Void Rift

The official Research page identifies the Void Rift as the building that produces Void Seeds. Put the first output in a small, serviceable area rather than connecting it to the normal Flower line. Void materials have a different downstream task, and a loose seed makes diagnosis harder.

Before continuous production, confirm that the Rift output is actually a Void Seed. Preserve room below the future Planter Boxes for petal collection and leave a manual shutdown at the input.

Stage 2: grow one Void Flower

Current players consistently report placing Void Seeds on Planter Boxes. Commission one planter and watch the complete growth state before adding another Seed. The official Void Seed page currently lacks detailed mechanics, so this guide does not invent a growth timer or footprint.

If nothing forms, verify the selected material, planter contact, open growth space and current research. Do not diagnose a broken harvester while the input stage has not yet produced a harvestable plant.

Stage 3: destroy the mature soil manually

The official Void Petal page says destroying Void Flower Soil releases a large volume of Void Petals. Current players use a weapon for the first harvest. Stand where the resulting wispy material cannot escape into unrelated production and stop new Seeds before firing.

Community replies disagree about whether a Digger Drone loop remains stable indefinitely. Treat drones as an experimental optimization only after repeated manual cycles prove the chamber and collection route.

Stage 4: catch Void Petals below

The official page states that Void Petals pass through Planter Boxes and can be gathered underneath. Keep the lower bay empty before harvest. Because Void Petal is documented as a light Wisp, enclose side routes and avoid an open shaft that lets the output drift away.

No petals below the planter means you should inspect the harvest state and collection capacity before growing another plant. A full mixed-material catch zone can look like a failed drop.

Stage 5: combine petals with Redsand

The official Voidbloom and Void Petal pages require vertical contact: one material must land on top of the other. Side-by-side pixels do not force conversion. Build a narrow visible contact lane and test one small batch before adding funnels or sensors.

The official Wiki currently documents one Void Petal plus one Redsand producing two Voidbloom. Treat this as a current reference ratio and verify it after balance updates rather than using it to promise a permanent throughput.

Stage 6: feed the Flux Emanator

The official Voidbloom page says Voidbloom must reach the top side of a Flux Emanator and converts into Fluxite as the bloom grows. Give the Emanator free surrounding space and confirm top-side delivery; piling material beside or below it does not satisfy the documented interaction.

Stop the Void Seed stage when Voidbloom output or the Emanator area is full. A closed production loop includes upstream shutdown, not only successful conversion.

Recover the chain from the output backward

No Fluxite: inspect Emanator space and top contact, then Voidbloom, vertical petal/Redsand contact, petal collection, harvest, plant growth and Rift output in that order. Find the first missing material state before changing the layout.

After clearing the fault, reopen one Void Seed and follow it to collected output. Only copy the module after it survives empty input, full output and save reload.
